made to outlive us.

Our Story

Meet Arifa Akbari

Arifa sources every rug herself — travelling to the villages and workshops where these pieces are woven, building relationships with the weavers, and paying fairly for their craft. Nothing here comes from a warehouse catalogue.

Each rug is chosen the way you'd choose one for your own home: for the hand of the wool, the depth of a natural dye, the quiet confidence of a pattern drawn from memory. If it isn't good enough to live with, it doesn't make the journey home.

“I only bring home a rug I would keep for myself.”

01

Hand-knotted

Every rug is tied knot by knot on the loom — a single piece can take a weaver many months to complete.

02

Naturally dyed

Wool coloured with madder root, indigo, walnut husk and pomegranate — hues that deepen with age.

03

Built to last

Made to be walked on for generations. A well-kept rug outlives the room it was bought for.
